First Continental Congress Whitewash Wood Engraved Ornament

On Sept. 5, 1774, twelve of the thirteen colonies met at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia to formulate a response to the Intolerable Acts, which Parliament passed as a way to punish the colonies after the Boston Tea Party of 1773. Perhaps the most notable accomplishment of the First Continental Congress was an agreement to boycott British goods. Congress concluded its first session on Oct. 26, 1774, and the boycott was successfully implemented on Dec. 1, 1774.
