Celebrate the 250th anniversary of America's colonial history by commemorating America's response to the Intolerable Acts of 1774. The First Continental Congress Natural Wood Engraved Ornament commemorates America's road to revolution. One side features special artwork illustrating Carpenters' Hall, a 1774 colonial map, and some of the most influential people who attended America's First Continental Congress. The other side features a special 250th Anniversary engraving (available for a limited time).
On Sept. 5, 1774, twelve of the thirteen colonies met at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia to formulate a response to the Intolerable Acts, which Parliament passed as a way to punish the colonies after the Boston Tea Party of 1773. Perhaps the most notable accomplishment of the First Continental Congress was an agreement to boycott British goods. Congress concluded its first session on Oct. 26, 1774, and the boycott was successfully implemented on Dec. 1, 1774.
